Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one session without the need to switch devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs must be completed, such as emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might be unable to pick up.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It can then change its path in a way that is automatic and clean around them, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. robot vacuum cleaner best , which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or separately. 4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. However, it has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and feels robust and well built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
